On April 24, 2019, at 13:00, the session “New Media: How to shape an image and monitor reputation in modern media scene” will be held within the framework of the XI International Economic Summit “Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2019”.

Modern print media is losing its readers, giving way to online media. However, the online media also cannot be considered as leaders in media space, since at present time alternative media is emerging: social networks, messengers, mailings and other ways of direct access to a reader. At the same time, reputation of people today is more influenced by publications in messengers’ anonymous channels, which can become a source of information for media. Of course, unverified information always affects an image of media, but causes hype, on a wave of which media can gain a large number of readers.
